I hate it when things break.

Before I start ranting, let me say how much I appreciate people like Bruce Chapman over at iFinity. Despite all the issues we're working through with the recent URL master update, he's always helpful, courteous and attentive. The world should have more people like him around.

Now on with the issue we encountered during our ifinity URL Master upgrade and how to solve it.

Ack! Our Teleric RadEditor Image Manager is returning a 404!

Don't sweat there, mate. If you're experiencing the same thing with your iFinity URL master update, I've got the fix you're looking for. You'll be up and running in 2 minutes :

  • While logged in, go to your Host dropdown, then choose Friendly URL settings. (if you're using a portal license instead, go the Admin>Portal Urls)
  • Click the RegEx Tab and add the following, as shown in the screengrab:

ifinity URL Master 404 error for RadEditor
  • Click save changes and high five someone nearby, because you should now be golden.

Solution for ifinity URL master Rad Editor

Disclaimer: This solution worked for us on a multi-portal installation running 4.9.5, not sure about other versions Before you modify any settings, make sure to log all the previous information or backup in case you have to revert.

If you're experiencing 404's elsewhere on your site as a result of the URL Master update, this solution will likely help you correct the issue. Just look at the url that's returning the 404 and try adding the directory path to the [doNotRewriteRegex] field to see if it fixes the issue.
